1. The Oil pump mounted at the bottom of the engine is connected to the Crankshaft by a gear, chain or belt.
2. When the engine is running, the rotation of the crankshaft will drive the rotor or gear of the Oil Pump to rotate.
3. When the rotor or gear of the oil pump rotates, a low-pressure area will be established in the pump body.
4. The low pressure area will suck the lubricating oil in the tank.
5. After the lubricating oil enters the oil pump, it will be pushed into the high-pressure area.
6. The lubricating oil in the high-pressure area is fed into various parts of the engine through the oil passage, such as crankshaft bearings, connecting rod bearings, cylinder walls, etc.
7. The lubricating oil forms an oil film in the engine part to reduce friction and wear.
8. Part of the lubricating oil is sprayed through the injector into the top of the piston, cooling the piston and Piston Ring, and providing a better seal.
9. The oil pump usually has a pressure regulator, which is used to adjust the pressure of the lubricating oil to adapt to the needs of the engine under different working conditions.
