The working principle of the Engine Valve is to control the opening and closing of the valve through the valve mechanism to connect and cut off the combustion chamber in the cylinder with the intake and exhaust passages.
The engine valve mechanism is mainly composed of camshaft, valve stem, valve spring, valve guide rod and valve. The camshaft rotates synchronously with the engine through the Crankshaft. The cam on the camshaft drives the valve stem and valve guide rod to open and close the valve under the control of the cam.
When the camshaft rotates, the raised portion of the cam pushes the valve stem downward, which in turn pushes the valve open. When the raised portion of the cam leaves, the elastic force of the valve spring causes the valve to close quickly. The opening and closing time and degree of the valve can be controlled by adjusting the shape and position of the raised portion on the camshaft.
Adjusting the opening and closing time and degree of the engine valve can achieve a reasonable coordination of the Intake Valve and the Exhaust Valve, smooth the flow of gas in and out of the combustion chamber, and improve the efficiency and performance of the engine. In addition, the adjustment of the opening and closing time and degree of the valve can also be automatically adjusted according to changes in engine workload to adapt to engine working requirements under different working conditions.
