Car cylinder gasket is a very important part of the car, the damage needs to be replaced in time, but you know how to judge whether the car cylinder gasket is damaged? Today we will talk about whether the car cylinder gasket damage skills.

1. Use rubber hose to test the gasket tightness

Start the engine, place one end of a rubber hose close to your ear and the other end along the connection between the cylinder head and block where it may not be well sealed. If the cylinder gasket is not well sealed, you can clearly hear a deflating sound at the leak.

2. Check the gasket tightness by looking at the radiator spray

Open the radiator cover, keep the engine idle, observe the radiator coolant filling port, quickly push the accelerator pedal to the bottom, if there is a bubble constantly gusher from the coolant during sudden acceleration, it indicates that the cylinder gasket is not sealed properly. The more bubbles, the worse the leak. Serious idle state under the radiator mouth will turn over spray.

3. Exhaust gas analyzer is used to test the gasket tightness

On some engines, the radiator coolant filling port is under the iron plate, making it impossible to view bubbles. Open the radiator cover, put the tail gas analyzer probe on the open radiator cover, do not touch the coolant, if HC can be measured during rapid acceleration, it indicates that the cylinder gasket seal is not good.

4.cylinder gasket leakage will cause the engine temperature is too high

Power decline, should be replaced in time, otherwise easy to damage the cylinder head, causing the cylinder head scrap, and cause coolant into the combustion chamber.
