How Does Engine Intake Exhaust Valve Work?

The Engine Valve is an important part in the engine, it is responsible for controlling the intake and exhaust process. The working principle of the Engine Intake Exhaust Valve can be divided into four steps: intake, compression, ignition and exhaust.

The first is the intake process. Then there's the ignition process. When the piston reaches its apex, the ignition system transfers the spark generated by the Spark plug to the mixture in the cylinder, triggering combustion. The hot and pressurized gas from the combustion pushes the piston down.

Finally, the exhaust process. When the piston goes down, the exhaust valve is opened, and after the exhaust valve is opened, the exhaust gas is discharged from the cylinder through the exhaust channel, and the intake process is prepared for the next cycle.

The work of the engine valve is achieved through the camshaft. The CAM on the camshaft is connected to the valve rod, and when the CAM turns, the valve opens or closes. The engine control system can adjust the opening and closing time of the valve according to the engine speed and load to ensure the best combustion effect and power output.
