●What does engine oil do?
The oil in our mouth is actually a kind of engine oil. When the car is started, all kinds of parts in the car begin to operate and then rub against each other all the time. At this time, the lubricant can play a good role in protecting the parts. Not only that, it also has the following functions:
01）Lubricated antifriction
There is a rapid relative sliding between the piston and the cylinder, between the spindle and the bearing bush, to prevent the parts from too fast wear, it is necessary to establish an oil film between the two sliding surfaces.
An oil film of sufficient thickness separates the surfaces of the parts that are sliding relative to each other, thereby reducing wear.
02）Cooling
The oil carries heat back to the tank and releases it into the air to help the tank cool the engine.
03）Wash clean
Good oil can bring the carbide, sludge and worn metal particles on the engine parts back to the tank through the circulation, and wash the dirt produced on the working surface of the parts through the flow of lubricating oil.
04）Seal leak proof
The oil can form a seal ring between the piston ring and the piston, reducing gas leakage and preventing the entry of contaminants from the outside world.
05）Rust corrosion
The lubricating oil can absorb on the surface of the parts to prevent water, air, acid and harmful gases from contacting with the parts.
06）Shock absorption
When the pressure of the engine cylinder mouth rises sharply, the load on the piston, piston debris, connecting rod and crankshaft bearing is very large, and the load is lubricated by the transmission of the bearing, so that the impact load bears the effect of buffering.
●Why do I need an oil change?
01）First of all, the oil will be used more and more less, sometimes we will encounter in the maintenance time before the oil has burned or not enough, this is commonly known as "burning oil".
02）Secondly, the oil will be polluted, the gasoline combustion residue on the cylinder wall will be scraped into the oil, and the small debris generated by the wear of parts will also mix into the oil, resulting in the more dirty the oil is used. Oil with too much impurity not only reduces the protective effect on parts, but also has certain damage to parts.
03）Finally, the oil itself also has a life, even if the car does not run, the oil will slowly oxidize and deteriorate, lose the effect of lubrication, and lose the protection of the car.
●What happens if you don't change your oil for too long?
01）40000 kilometers
An engine that has traveled 40, 000 kilometers without an oil change will have black sludge attached to the inner wall of the cylinder.
02）75000 kilometers
An engine with 75,000 miles of oil in and out of the engine will have a thick grease grime that almost fills the space outside the moving parts inside the cylinder.
Does this engine still work?
The answer is yes, but you can clearly feel the sound abnormal, and the power output drop significantly.
03）150000 kilometers
That's 150,000 miles of driving with no oil change.
A qualified engine oil itself should have good cleaning ability, but because the oil is only added for a long time, leading to the accumulation of more and more sludge and impurities inside the engine.
Like the 75,000-kilometer-long engine above, the inside of the cylinder is a mess.
●How do you know when your car needs an oil change?
When a car needs an oil change, in addition to looking at the regular time and mileage, you can also judge from the following three conditions.
01）In the first case, in terms of engine type, there are two models on the market, one is self-priming and one is turbo. Turbines have high requirements on the quality of oil. In general, turbine engines need to change the oil in advance at 8000 kilometers. If it is a self-priming engine, you can go to more than 10,000 kilometers to replace the full synthetic oil.
02）The second kind of situation, can be judged according to the car environment, usually cross country or take the road with more sand and dust, will cause a certain impact on the oil, such as the reduction of purity, excessive use will cause engine damage.
So in this case, it is also recommended to change the oil frequently. When driving five or six thousand kilometers, it is necessary to check the adhesion degree of the oil, and replace it in time if it deteriorates.
03）The third way is to look at the time. Usually the car drive less, so the time to calculate is the best.
Do not think that the car only opened three or four thousand kilometers, do not need to be replaced, as long as the time is up to need to change, otherwise the oil may also deteriorate.
